Elevation Scholars Support

The Elevation Scholars Program focuses on educational inequality in the United States, primarily in Central Florida. The goal is to prepare high-achieving students from low-income families for acceptance into the nation’s most selective colleges and universities.

On April 11 at our Elevation Scholars Awards Banquet, we gave college admissions packages to seven very deserving program students. These packages represent a combined commitment to the students of $90,000. As has happened in the past, we ran out of money before we ran out of highly qualified students. We have identified another group of students we want to assist. We have negotiated with local college admissions consulting firms to provide group coaching for these students. We will also offer them additional items such as one on one ACT/SAT test prep or a college trip to explore a highly selective college or university they are considering. Our costs for each student averages $2,500 for these services and also include Uber to transport the students to all sessions. Would you consider a gift of any amount to fund the packages for these students?
